Green Map System
Director
NYC

Born an artist, I started my eco-design career when planned obsolescence was still considered design excellence. Realizing that this mindset was driving us toward extinction, I opted out of the designosaur business and developed Green Map System, a product service system that’s grown into an effective PR service for the hometown environment in 65 countries. New: our second Open Green Map platform is transforming the process of mapping and making the data about local nature, culture, social justice and green living useful in several ways. So versatile and free for most users. Both the locally-led process and the Green Maps spur progress toward community sustainability and climate health.

In addition to talking with me about making maps and mapmaking tools, I am involved in diverse climate, energy and cycling initiatives around NYC and the world. Preparedness, pollinators, inclusive design, and much more.
